This summer students will register for summer reading online through the Cobb Public Library.
The Cobb County Public Library Summer Reading Adventure will begin June 1, 2020. Students and families will register at http://www.cobbcat.org/summer/. Goal: Read 20 minutes a day for 20 hours this summer. Don’t forget you can access materials through Cobb Digital Library, SORA, and your PASS account through the public library. Your student has access to thousands of e-books and audio books with SORA by Overdirve. They can access 3 collections: Hayes' Collection, Cobb County School's Collection, and the Cobb County Public Library's Collection. To access the public Library's collection students will need to log-in with their library PASS
Library card #: Student ID Pin: 4 digit birthday (MMDD) Students Can access SORA by going to Soraapp.com or From your child's teacher's Clever page. The Hayes Library Learning Commons wants to encourage students to keep reading over the extended break. If you choose, please complete the blackout bingo card (download below). Students who complete the card and turn it in to the library when we return to school, will receive a prize and be entered into a drawing for a Barnes and Nobel Gift card!
Please download the card for your child's grade level. These will be due to the Library Learning Commons once we return to school.
Today our Mustangs who participated in the Read-a-Thon got to duct tape Mrs. Watson to the wall. Students were able to stick one piece per sponsor! They had a blast!
Your child should have received a sheet explaining how to create their personal fundraising page today! Please take the time to crate their site and share it with friends and Family! The Library is hoping to raise $5000 to buy a 3D Printer! Please help us reach out goal!
